Mousso Foundation is established as a charity organization in New York City by Florentine Kabore, who is determined to create a change in the life of underprivileged rural communities. The Foundation is home to activities and services that would positively impact the everyday lives of girls and young women in Burkina Faso.
The Foundation was founded for the charitable purpose of providing educational and financial support to keep girls in school; creating solutions for a clean and safer environment for girls and young women.; We host, sponsor, and participate in activities that promote education, such as scholarship awards and access to school supplies, bikes, and water wells, all for the benefit of girls in Burkina Faso. The Foundation also provides financial support for young women to economically empower them, in an effort to create a new thriving generation of women.

Who we are
We provide lasting solutions for youth education, women’s economic empowerment and a sustainable environment in the poorest communities. We believe that education is the key to changing lives, and girls as well as women need our assistance to have a better future and break the cycle of poverty. Our donors’ generosity has already impacted thousands of lives.
Our Mission
Girls in poor countries like Burkina Faso often do not attend school because of domestic activities, long walking distance to the closest school, lack of clean water in their village, forced marriage, or simply because their parents prefer to invest in boys and cannot afford to send girls to school. Mousso Foundation supports and assists girls and young women in need and promotes economic self-sufficiency for them through grant-making, education, and advocacy.

Our Partners
We work with local governments, NGOS like women’s associations and human right activists, as well as local religious leaders and traditional chiefs in implementing community-based programs. We also work with local school districts to create focus groups and design better strategies to attain our goals.
Where we operate
Our activities are focused primarily in Burkina Faso, however, we are committed to work with other communities in developing countries in Africa
Our Achievement since 2008
The Mousso Foundation has already helped more than 200 girls attend school. In 2018, we provided 150 bikes to 150 students who previously walked 6 to 10 miles every day to school. We have also equipped a village with school supplies and first aid medical supplies.
